Planning your wedding and the Corona Virus.
We are all living through unprecedented times, Historic events the like of we have never seen before.
Our day to day lives are completely different to how they were a few weeks ago, celebrations have been cancelled including any upcoming weddings. This isn’t the nicest blog post we have written, in fact many haven’t been posted as they were for Floral workshops that have been cancelled. But wanted to reassure any couples out there that like other wedding florists are working with their couples to ensure that our services can be provided if you have rescheduled, or are thinking
you might have to. Also to say that is ok to look towards the future and make plans as this will end.
If you have had to like many of our couples – postpone your wedding day, please take heart – you are not alone!
Your day will come and it will be even more special as people will be even more excited to celebrate with friends and family.
We are working with our couples to accommodate date changes and of course there may be a little tweaking of the flowers to reflect the change in the seasons.
I have admired how calmly our couples have been in making such big decisions, it shows just how much our friends and family mean to us all that we just couldn’t imagine getting married without them all being able to be with us from near or far.
If you are just starting your wedding planning for 2021 please don’t let this time of turmoil put you off. It is such a magical time, all the excitement with dreams of your day. And lets face it most of us have more free time than ever so make the time count towards something positive.
We are already taking bookings for 2021 for some beautiful weddings, along with some of this years couples having moved to 2021 already, to be sure that family coming can get international flights. Early summer this is looking so uncertain and no-one wants to postpone twice.
We love collaborating with couples to design the perfect flowers for you and your dream wedding. We would usually do this initially face to face with a consultation and personalised quote. This is not possible at the moment so we can talk on the phone, email and FaceTime ( give me a reason to put my face on, something not happening much during lockdown!)
I am usually knee deep in buckets of gorgeous flowers at this time of year, bringing designs to life. Creating wedding flowers almost every weekend. Really missing the chaos and buzz and of course the flowers, so talking about them and planning mood boards from our gallery of previous weddings is as close as we can get right now.
Its a great feeling to get plans in motion- we can arrange to meet and finalise details when it is safe to do so again. Most of all don’t panic the most important thing right now is to keep your self and loved ones safe. We can overcome any other challenges.
So drop us a email we would love to hear from you.
Id like to end with the borrowed words from a wedding photographer we worked on a wedding with at a beautiful venue The Gardens Yalding,http://www.thegardensyalding.co.uk Kent,
